❓ Who is Henventory for?

Henventory helps chicken farmers keep track of egg production.

Whether you have a small backyard flock or several dozen hens, Henventory will answer questions like:

🥚 How many eggs do I get per day, on average?
🥚 Do my Rhode Island Reds lay more than my Barred Rocks?
🥚 Which of my chickens is Employee of the Month?

❓ What are 'flock mode' and 'layer mode'?

🪺Flock mode allows you to track only how many eggs you collect, and when you collect them. It's the core Henventory experience.

🐔Layer mode, on the other hand, allows you to collect data on individual hens: like how many eggs they lay throughout the week, month, and year. Think of this as Henventory with some bells & whistles.

➡️ You might want to use flock mode if:

🥚 you have a small farm with too many chickens to track individually
🥚 you're interested in how many eggs you get each day (instead of tracking who's laying what)
🥚 your hens lay eggs that look similar (or identical) to one another
🥚 you only check for eggs once or twice a day

➡️ You might want to use layer mode if:

🥚 you can tell your hens' eggs apart
🥚 you have a few different breeds and want to compare their productivity, peak egg-laying seasons, etc.
🥚 you check for eggs frequently throughout the day

Absolutely! What we're about to launch is an alpha version of Henventory.

❓ What's an alpha version?

Well, if you've heard of a beta version before, just imagine something a little less polished.

The formal definition of an alpha version is:

a version of a piece of software that is made available for testing, typically by employees of the company that is developing it, before its general release.

❓ I found a bug. What should I do?

Since Henventory is still in its alpha days, there are bound to be some bugs we haven't caught yet. 🐛

Until we get our bug report form up and running, you can just drop us a line and let us know what you found.

In your email, please include:

when you found the bug (date & time)
what you were doing (or trying to do) in the app when the bug appeared
any screenshots or recordings, if possible

Your bug reports help make sure that Henventory runs well now -- and scales well later.
